Summary: NJDOT has been working toward meeting a "fix it first" philosophy of performance management, targeting ineffieiciencies and demand across the system to prioritize investments. With internal asset management policies, along with newly established MAP-21 performance based standards, NJDOT proposes a system of measures and communication tools that will clearly inform professionals, encourage collaboration, and assist in decision making.
